From Never Baking to Paris-Trained Chef

In 2017, I was working in advertising and had never turned on an oven. I discovered test kitchen videos to decompress after work, and for three years, I just watched. When I finally tried baking, everything changed. The experience—creating something impressive from scratch and seeing the joy it brought others—led me to leave advertising altogether.

I trained at École Grégoire-Ferrandi in Paris and now work as a pastry cook at Pastis in Miami, producing desserts, ice cream, and pastries using classic French techniques daily.

I believe baking is more than making desserts. It's a way to connect with your loved ones, express appreciation, and yes—it's therapeutic. A focused project with delicious, impressive results. But I know it can feel intimidating. Ingredients transform in unseen ways, and success never feels guaranteed. That's what I'm here to change.
